Seeks enforcement of quality norms

India should be ``much stricter” in enforcing quality of exports, especially food and medicaments, to Africa, said the Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari, at the third India-Africa Forum Summit meeting here on Thursday.

``In order to meet the increased demand for Indian goods and services in Africa and with the right environment, India needs to improve its trade ties and investment flows to the continent, with greater value addition and transfer of technology. The private sector should equally be involved in the efforts to integrate our economies,” the Nigerian President said to a gathering that included Prime Minister Narendra Modi and External Affairs Minister, Sushma Swaraj.
