The BMW group’s iconic British brand MINI has launched a new version of its flagship car the Cooper, in India. The MINI Cooper S Carbon Edition is now available for booking exclusively on the e-commerce platform Amazon, making MINI the first premium auto brand in the country to do so.
This limited edition version comes with a JCW tuning kit that adds extra firepower to the two-litre, four cylinder engine under the Cooper’s hood. With this kit, the Cooper gives you a roaring 210 hp of power with 300 Nm torque, capable of doing 0-100 kmph in a mere 6.5 seconds, the company claimed.
The exteriors of this model get a revamp, with matte black side stripes accentuated by a red pinstripe. The LED headlights and rear lights also get a design overhaul. The Cooper S Carbon Edition also features the JCW aerodynamic package.
The interiors are also overhauled, with JCW sports seats with integrated headrests, exclusive to this model. The steering wheel is from JCW leatherworks, and the gear selector lever is highlighted by a glowing red trim.
The car is equipped with state-of-the-art safety features — brake assist, three-point seat belts, dynamic stability control, and crash sensor. It is available at an ex-showroom price of ₹39.9 lakh.
