Aasaanjobs, an online marketplace for recruiting and skilling of blue- and grey-collared workers, has raised $5 million in Series A round led by Aspada Investments. Existing investors IDG Ventures and Inventus Capital also participated in this round. Aasaanjobs had closed a seed round of $1.5 million from IDG and Inventus in January 2015.

Employers can make quick hiring decisions using advanced mobile-based assessments of job seekers on Aasaanjobs’ HR-on-cloud platform.

Founded in 2014 by IIT Bombay alumni, Aasaanjobs provides an end-to-end recruitment service by bridging the gap between employers and those seeking jobs through an advanced data science led matchmaking system.

Aasaanjobs will use the funding to further automate its recruitment marketplace as it expands to more cities. The company plans to set up operations in Pune and Delhi in the first quarter and in Bengaluru in the second quarter of 2016.
