A picture-perfect toast to the past
Updated - September 04, 2018 at 09:17 PM.
To mark the 150th anniversary celebrations of the Tata Group, Vistara, a joint venture airline between Tata Sons and Singapore Airlines, will fly seven special flights between Delhi and Mumbai, starting today (September 5). Air-hostesses on these flights will wear vintage-style uniforms of the 1950-60s, in soft colours like pale lilac, and serve dishes that were favourites of JRD Tata — these include Cheddar Cheese and Onion Omelette, Crêpe au Champignon, Meat Medley, Waldorf Salad, Minestrone Soup, Herb Roast Chicken, Goan Prawn Curry and Crème Caramel. Picture shows Leslie Thng, CEO, Vistara, interacting with cabin crew at the unveiling of Vistara’s 22nd aircraft, an Airbus A320neo with retro-livery to mark the celebrations Sandeep Saxena
