Notes from a self-care diary

1. Golf: Every couple of weeks, I make time for a round of golf. It lets me step away from the hustle while connecting with like-minded professionals. It sharpens my focus and strikes the perfect balance between fitness and networking.

2. Swimming: I swim twice a week, either early morning or late at night. It’s my go-to fitness activity because it not only offers a full-body workout, but also leaves me feeling refreshed and de-stressed.

3. Healthy eating: “We are what we eat.” My diet is filled with fresh fruits, vegetables and whole grains to fuel my active lifestyle. I make a conscious effort to avoid processed foods and sugary snacks, and instead opt for home-cooked meals.

4. Short walk: My day winds down with a light dinner, focused on lean proteins and veggies. I unwind with a short walk or stretching session to aid digestion and relax my muscles. I sometimes listen to calming music for a restful night.

5. Digital detox: In today’s hyper-connected world, I make it a point to regularly disconnect from devices. My digital detoxes give me a chance to recharge, focus on real-life interactions, and practise mindfulness.
