1 Early to bed, Early to rise: For healthy living, it is important to go back to our childhood learning, “early to bed, early to rise makes a person healthy, wealthy and wise.” In a corporate world, sleeping early is difficult but at least waking up is in our hands. I do that. And that is my first fitness mantra.
2 Yoga and meditation: Yoga is a regular event in my life. Surya namaskara, pranayaam and breathing control practices such as Kapaal Bhaanti and Anulom Vilom besides other exercises. It gives me control over myself.
5 Food that gives energy: Food is as important as physical exercise. And the food intake is as important as its quality. What I eat and who makes it, are both important. As the Indian scriptures say, food made with love and affection gives immense energy and fitness. To be active, satvik food without onion and garlic keeps negative energy away. I don't have eggs, liquor, meat, as it all adds up to rajsik and tamsik, which reduces the energy level. In the corporate world it is difficult to follow this way of living, unless you have an inclination towards it.
