The Pune labour court gave the Bajaj Auto union a rap on the knuckles and dismissed an adjournment application filed at today's hearing.
The application asked that Bajaj Auto submit payslips to enable workers know on what grounds their June salaries had been cut.
The labour court judge N.S. Kole said that the matter was technical and the union did not seem to be sincere in its desire to find a solution.
The court said that the matter will proceed on July 22 irrespective of whether the union gave a written submission replying to Bajaj Auto’s say or not.
Workers belonging to the Vishwakalyan Kamgar Sanghtana, the workers’ union, stopped work at the Chakan plant from June 25 to press for their demands, which included wage revision, ESOPS and reinstatement of 22 suspended workers.
In its first hearing on July 8, the court had suggested that the two parties resolve their issues through discussions.
