Kingfisher Airlines extends lockout till Oct 23

Kingfisher Airlines has said it hopes to resume operations on November 6.

Kingfisher Airlines has submitted its plans to the Directorate-General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) in response to the showcause served to the airline.

The DGCA has asked why the airline's licence should not be cancelled or suspended. The company has not yet revealed details of the plans.

The airline has extended the lockout till October 23. The airline has said it hopes to resume operations on November 6 subject to DGCA clearances.

Suspension of licence is very much on cards. The DGCA will take a legal view on the decision before October 23.

Action against Kingfisher is possible before the Monday meeting between the Kingfisher management and employees.
