The Gangavaram Port has on Sunday said a disaster management plan is in place for dealing with any such contingency in view of the Hudhud cyclone.
In a statement issued here, it said: "All precautionary and safety measures have been initiated to minimise any damage or loss. The port operations have been suspended on temporary basis and all the working vessels within the harbour have been shifted to the anchorage.''
The port was closely coordinating with the authorities and is watchful of the developments, it added.
