The top 10 richest living self-made American entrepreneurs have created wealth four times what they are worth themselves. According to Wealth-X, a leading ultra-high net worth (UHNW) intelligence firm, which has compiled this list, 10 entrepreneurs are collectively worth $407.4 billion, accounting for about 20 per cent of total UHNW wealth in America. Cumulatively, the market capitalisation of these 10 individuals’ primary companies is $1.7 trillion.
Topping the list is Bill Gates, with a net worth of $80 billion. Warren Buffet ranks second, with wealth totalling $64 billion, while Larry Ellison falls into third place with $48 billion.
