Areva, the France-based multi-national that offers technological solutions for nuclear power generation, has signed a fellowship agreement with Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay.
Under the pact, Areva will support doctoral Student Fellowships for R&D projects in nuclear reactor production and design, nuclear fuel cycle products and services, renewable energies and energy storage.
It will support the scholars and help them connect with the international scientific community working in renowned R&D laboratories and universities worldwide.
“I am proud that this collaboration will bring together the French and Indian research communities. We are committed to sharing our expertise in nuclear and renewables with our Indian partners,” said Luc Oursel, CEO, Areva.
“The agreement will benefit students undertaking research in the area of energy at our institute and has the potential to strengthen scientific sharing and learning between the two organisations” said Shiva Prasad, Dean, IIT-Bombay.
