After the stupendous performance of the Indian cricket team in the recent World Cup, here’s a quiz on sportswomen.

1 Mildred ‘Babe’ Didrikson was an acclaimed basketball and baseball player who also won Olympic golds in the 80m hurdles and javelin throw in the 1932 Olympics, and came second in high jump. She turned professional in yet another sport and won a record 10 major titles. Which other sport did she dominate?

2 Which acclaimed sportswoman was nicknamed ‘The Flying Housewife’ after winning four gold medals in the 1948 London Olympics as a 30-year-old mother of two?

3 Which legendary tennis star’s decision to not play the US Open if the prize money for men and women was not equal resulted in the tournament becoming the first to have prize parity in 1973?
