Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd's Haridwar unit reported a record turnover of Rs 4,237 crore in 2010-11, a 31 per cent increase over the previous year.
During the fiscal the Haridwar unit's contribution was 7,175 MW of the cumulative equipment generation capacity of 8,108 MW synchronised by BHEL. In addition, 12 existing power stations have been upgraded by the Haridwar unit through modernisation and renovation measures. This has resulted in 1,880 MW of generation capacity being made operational, it said.
