Danish luxury audio and video products maker Bang & Olufsen (B&O) on Wednesday introduced its new India partner — Shreyans Group.
Shreyans Group, which retails and distributes products for brands such as Bombardier, Ducati, Ferrari and Maserati in India, will be the master dealer for B&O in India beginning June 1 this year.
Mr Danny F. Espersen, Vice-President (sales service and marketing), B&O, said, “We have seen the market here reach a level of maturity where B&O products are in greater demand. As a leading producer of luxury products we believe we have got a very strong partner (in Shreyans Group).”
Further, B&O also launched the new Beolit 12, the company’s portable music system.
The 2.7-kg audio system is also the first B&O product with Airplay that allows the system to play music through an Apple device without the use of wires.
Mr Espersen said the objective of B&O, which entered India in 2005 and has five dealerships in the country, is to grow and expand in India since they see a lot of potential in the country.
Mr Ashish Chordia, Chairman, Shreyans Group, said they plan to open five more dealerships by 2013 at an investment of Rs 5 crore per store.
Of the Rs 25-crore investment planned, Mr Chordia said about 10 per cent or Rs 2.5 crore-Rs 3 crore would be spent on marketing.
