The Competition Appellate Tribunal (COMPAT) has set aside the final verdict on DLF’s Rs 630-crore penalty for Friday. Last year, in August, the Competition Commission of India had imposed penalty of Rs 630 crore on real estate major for abusing its dominant position. It had also issued a ‘cease and desist’ order against imposing unfair conditions on the buyers of its flats. DLF had approached the appellate tribunal seeking reprieve from paying the penalty. “The hearing will continue and a final verdict is expected tomorrow,” the tribunal sources said.
