Helical Auto Technology India Pvt Ltd, a subsidiary of the UK-based Helical Technology Ltd, has set up a modern manufacturing unit in Pune.
The plant was recently inaugurated by Sir James Bevan, The British High Commissioner to India.
Alistair Morris, MD, Helical, UK said, “We are indeed very happy to start manufacturing in India. The new plant will manufacture actuators and valve rotators and cater to the growing need of the Indian market.”
With an annual installed capacity of four millions units, the new facility has involved an investment of around Rs 16 crore. The company also plans to design parts of some components, particularly those required for Indian customers, Vibhas Ambekar, CEO of Helical’s India operations, added.
