Japanese equipment major Brother International intends to capture 25 per cent of India’s mono laser printer market by 2017. In order to achieve this target, the company is seeking to unveil a new channel policy and improve its logistics operation, said Yoshiji Matsui, Managing Director of Brother in India. Currently, the company has a four per cent market share in the Indian mono laser printer market.

“In January, we set up nine new warehouses, in addition to what we have in Mumbai. Second, we have started direct bidding from dealers. So discussion to finalise orders is much quicker now,” said Matsui. Today, the company announced the addition of three new mono laser products to its existing portfolio of printers in the country. The new range comprises one single function laser printer priced at about Rs 5,000 and two multifunction printers priced at Rs 9,090 and Rs 13,100.
