Kanan Devan Hills Plantations Company Private Ltd (KDHP), Munnar, the largest employee-owned tea plantation in the country, has entered the branded dust tea retail market. The company has come out with a product, branded “Ripple,” which is a blend of Indian RC Premium tea and North India Assam tea.
The encouraging response to its tea in the auction market prompted the company to go in for the branded product, Mr T. Damu, Chairman, KDHP, said at the State-wide launch of “Ripple” here on Saturday.
He said that being primarily a tea producer, the company could ensure supply of garden fresh tea to consumers.
