Hydraulic crane maker Kobelco Cranes India today inaugurated a frame fabrication facility at its Sri City plant in Andhra Pradesh. The dedicated facility is spread over 2,100 square metre.
With this new facility, the frame can now be produced here, instead of importing it from Japan. KCI invested about Rs 25 crore to set up the unit, which will increase the production capacity from 90 units to 120 units annually.
Tsukamoto, President of Kobelco Cranes, inaugurated the facility, in the presence of Izumi, President, Kobelco Cranes India and Ravindra Sannareddy, MD, Sri City.
Izumi said: “Setting up this fabrication unit is one of the major steps to actualize our planned exports to neighbouring countries from next year.”
