Noida-based developer NCPL has entered into a licensing and marketing arrangement with Italian furnishing brand Casa Shamuzzi. The brand, which is present in 14 countries, said it was targeting the ‘booming’ middle class in India.
Meenakshi Taneja, Executive Director, NCPL Group, said the move was a natural progression for the company, as it was looking at backward integration.
“Home improvement and assortment business is growing and we wanted to establish our presence in India,” she added.
Casa Shamuzzi’s products will be imported and sold. NCPL will do the branding and marketing while Casa Shamuzzi will provide the back-end support. NCPL will be setting up three stores in Ludhiana, Jaipur and Mumbai.
