Durgapur Steel Plant of SAIL in July – September quarter recorded the best ever performance in the production of hot metal, saleable steel, total caster and billet caster.
The production of blend mix, sinter, section mill, merchant mill and special steel and value added items exceeded Q2 targets, DSP said in a statement.
In September, hot metal output grew 2 per cent and saleable steel production rose 1 per cent over the corresponding month last year.
