State Bank of Hyderabad (SBH) will be the convenor of the State-Level Bankers' Committee (SLBC) for the new Telangana State.
The bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh would come in to force from June 2.
In a notification, the Reserve Bank of India said Andhra Bank would continue to be the convenor of SLBC for the residuary state of Andhra Pradesh.
SLBC convenor-banks will have the responsibility of ensuring implementation of Government schemes and monitoring compliance with priority sector targets by banks, among others.
