The Coal India Ltd AGM was disrupted for over an hour (from around 11 a.m.) after a section of shareholders alleged that attendance slips and gift coupons were not being given.
Around 200-odd shareholders demanded that they be given gift coupons based on their attendance slips.
According to CIL officials, a software malfunctioning had resulted in a problems in recording attendances. This led to several shareholders agitating in the midst of the annual general meeting.
The situation was diffused with the Coal India management promising to look into the matter.
