South Indian Bank’s 1001st ATM and kiosk banking were officially inaugurated by Kerala Governor Sheila Dikshit. The Governor said that kiosk banking, which enables people in rural areas to easily get banking services, is a commendable initiative. The State Minister for Agriculture and Animal Husbandry KP Mohanan, who presided over the function, said that South Indian Bank played a pivotal role in making agricultural loans available to farmers in rural areas. VA Joseph, Managing Director & CEO, said the bank is implementing the kiosk model in association with Akshaya centres. Executive Vice-President VG Mathew welcomed the guests and Executive Director Abraham Thariyan proposed a vote of thanks.
