German sportswear giant Adidas has roped in Indian cricketer Suresh Raina as its brand ambassador and the player will be sporting the company’s cricket gear in the forthcoming T20 World Cup.
“We are proud to support a gifted player like Raina who has always managed to create a big impact in the game whether through his batting, bowling or brilliant fielding skills,” Adidas India Brand Director Tushar Goculdas said in a statement.
He added the relationship will only empower Raina further to deliver match winning performances and achieve more historic milestones.
Commenting on the association with Adidas, Suresh Raina said: “It’s been a fantastic journey with Adidas and they have been extremely supportive throughout my career. Adidas has consistently enabled me to have an edge on and off the pitch with their revolutionary products“.
In its earlier association with Adidas, Raina only used to sport the company’s shoe in terms of gear.
T20 World Cup begins in Sri Lanka on September 18 and ends on October 7.
