French international hotel chain operator Accor has expanded its Novotel hotel network across India, with the opening of its eighth hotel under this brand in the country at Pune.
Jean-Michel Cassé, Senior Vice-President, Operations, Accor India says, “Accor is focused on India as a core growth market and the expansion of the Novotel brand in 2013 has been positive with three significant openings during the year. With brand Novotel, Accor hopes to introduce new segments and new markets especially for MICE, besides leisure.”
Earlier this quarter, the company launched Novotel Goa Shrem Resort and Novotel Ahmedabad. This mid-scale brand is proving a growth engine in driving Accor hotel development around the region and helping it capture a growing share of travellers in the commercial and leisure districts of Goa, Ahmedabad and Pune.
Novotel Pune breaks away from tradition and has a ‘Virtual Concierge’ facility. Located close to the commercial and retail precincts of the city, the hotel has 223 guest rooms including 14 suites, meeting spaces augmented by the latest technology and varied dining and recreation options.
