Alstom T&D India on Monday said it has bagged Rs 100 crore contracts from Power Grid Corporation of India to supply energy management system.

“The scope of the two contracts covers EMS packages for Southern and Western Regional Load Dispatch Centres (SRLDC and WRLDC),” Alstom said in a statement.

These systems are expected to help PowerGrid make fast decisions using visualisation, information storage and retrieval tools.

“This second wave of upgrades for the regional centres will significantly improve the operational efficiency and increase power flow across the Indian grid, particularly after the integration of Southern grid into the national grid,” said Rathin Basu, Managing Director of Alstom T&D India Ltd.
