Realty firm Ansal Properties & Infrastructure’s sales bookings increased by 4.5 per cent to Rs 2,037 crore during the first nine months of this fiscal.

According to the company’s operational update filed on the BSE, Ansal has sold 15.7 million square feet during April-December period of 2012-13 fiscal as against 16.35 million square feet in the year-ago period.

In value terms, the company sold properties worth Rs 2,037 crore in the first nine months of this fiscal as against Rs 1,948.60 crore in the corresponding period of previous fiscal.

Sales realisation increased to Rs 1,298 per square feet from Rs 1,191 per square feet in the review period, leading to marginal rise in the sales value despite fall in sale in volume terms.

Uttar Pradesh contributed bulk of the sales bookings.

Ansal has two big townships in the state – Sushant Golf City (3530 acres) in Lucknow and about 2,500 acre Sushant Megapolis in Greater Noida.

The national-capital based company sold 12.78 million square feet in UP for a value of Rs 1,621.9 crore during April-December of 2012-13 fiscal.

Ansal API currently has a land bank of nearly 300 million square feet of saleable area.

Shares of the company were trading at Rs 40 apiece, up 2.3 per cent, in afternoon trade on BSE.
