Apollo Hospitals has signed an agreement with Fiji National University for healthcare collaboration.
The agreement, signed on the eve of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to the university, calls for developing healthcare infrastructure in Fiji and providing better access to high quality care for the people of Fiji using telemedicine facilities. It also facilitates patients to be referred to Apollo Hospitals for serious ailments.
A clinic with outpatient specialist consultation services, diabetes management services and diagnostic facility will be established under the agreement.
“The agreement would help us share medical education content and training programmes,” Sangita Reddy, Joint Managing Director of Apollo Group of Hospitals, said in a statement here on Thursday.
Sangita Reddy and Ganesh Chand, Vice-Chancellor of Fiji National University, signed the agreement on November 19 to mark the Prime Minister’s visit to that country.
