Denim maker, Arvind Ltd, has posted 28 per cent decline in standalone net profit at Rs 68 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2015 against Rs 95 crore in the same period last year.

The company's standalone net income increased by 5 per cent to Rs 1,349 crore during the quarter from Rs 1,284 crore reported in the corresponding quarter last year.

For the financial year ended March 31, 2015, the company's standalone net profit stood at Rs 377 crore against Rs 361 crore in the previous year. Standalone net income was Rs 5,225 crore (Rs 4,775 crore).

On a consolidated basis, Arvind has posted a net profit of Rs 48 crore, down 96 per cent, against Rs 94 crore in the corresponding quarter a year ago. Consolidated net income stood at Rs 2,040 crore against Rs 1,882 crore in same period last year.

For the financial year, consoilidated net profit fell 3 per cent to Rs 341 crore from Rs 354 crore in the previous year on net income of Rs 7,851 crore against Rs 6,862 crore in the previous year.

Textiles continued to be the largest contributor to the company's consolidated revenues for the fiscal at Rs 5,069 crore, followed by brand and regail segment at Rs 2,350 crore and real eastate at Rs 109 crore.

Arvind shares were trading higher by over one per cent at Rs 258.90 on the BSE on Thursday.
