Beauty and Wellness Sector Skill Council (B&WSSC) has tied-up with international body CIDESCO to enable beauty professionals in the country get internationally-recognised certification. This will enable beauty professionals trained in India to seek international employment opportunities.
B&WSSC, is a not-for-profit organisation, which is promoted by CII, with financial support from National Skill Development Council, under the aegis of Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship.
The MoU will enable Indian candidates in the field of beauty to get dual certification, which is recognised across 60 countries, an official statement said.
Vandana Luthra, Chairperson, B&WSSC said, “This association will not only help to establish service delivery parameters, but also bring about uniformity in our training, along with helping in knowledge exchange between India and other countries.”
She added that this will not only benefit the industry but also help students trained in Beauty & Wellness in India; get global recognition.
The Council which was set up about four years ago has till date imparted training to over 4.20 lakh beauty professionals.
Headquartered in Zurich, CIDESCO, establishes global standard for beauty and spa therapy.
