Mining equipment and defence enterprise BEML Ltd reported a second quarter net profit of Rs 15.30 crore, an increase of 3.8 per cent year on year (Rs 14.74 crore). Net sales rose nearly 56 per cent to Rs 792.47 crore (Rs 509.27 crore) for the same July-September 2011 period.
BEML's share price on the Bombay Stock Exchange closed Rs 28 higher at Rs 524.50 on Friday.
