Chambal Fertilisers and Chemicals Ltd (CFCL) has reported 81 per cent increase in net profit at Rs 146.32 crore for the quarter ended on June 30, 2015 on account of higher sales.
The company had clocked a net profit of Rs 80.79 crore in the year-ago period.
Net sales during April-June period of the current financial year rose to Rs 2,439.08 crore from Rs 1,993.47 crore in the same period during 2014-15 fiscal, as per the company’s BSE filing.
The company had also entered into business purchase agreement with Sutlej Textiles and Industries Ltd on June 30 for sale of its textile division.
Shares of the company were trading at Rs 70.65 apiece on BSE, up 12.32 per cent.
