Shares of cement manufacturer Dalmia Bharat today surged nearly 7 per cent after the company reported a steep jump of 94.16 per cent in consolidated net profit for the fourth quarter ended March.
The stock soared 6.52 per cent to close at Rs 2,522.60 on BSE. During the day, it jumped 8.5 per cent to Rs 2,569.55 —— its 52-week high.
At NSE, shares of the company went up by 6.52 per cent to end at Rs 2,522.40.
The company’s market valuation rose by Rs 1,374.51 crore to Rs 22,442.51 crore.
Dalmia Bharat Ltd yesterday reported a steep jump of 94.16 per cent in its consolidated net profit at Rs 184.05 crore for the fourth quarter ended March.
The company reported a net profit of Rs 94.79 crore in January-March a year-ago, Dalmia Bharat said in a BSE filing.
Total income during the quarter under review was at Rs 2,504.68 crore, up 15.29 per cent from Rs 2,172.37 crore of the same quarter previous fiscal.
