The De Beers Group is launching its diamond brand “Forevermark” in India, in partnership with select retailers. With $200 million in retail sales, the brand is present across 350 retail doors in Japan, China, Hong Kong, Singapore and the Caribbean. “Forevermark is on a global expansion. In 2011, we chose India as it is the fastest growing diamond market globally – among the top five markets in terms of diamond consumption,” said Mr Stephen Lussier, CEO, Forevermark. The jewellery (prices starting Rs 30,000) will be launched in Bangalore and will be available with Aharan, C. Krishniah Chetty and Joyalukkas. It will then be rolled out in Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, Hyderabad and Kolkata.
