Leading factual entertainment network Discovery Communication India on Tuesday said that it has entered into a multi-year partnership with news and local content discovery app Dailyhunt.

Under this partnership, Discovery India has introduced a video destination named Discovery Plus on the home page of Dailyhunt App, offering short form video content customized for the digital audiences in India.

The company said this partnership will help expand its footprint in the digital domain in India leveraging 153 million monthly user base of Dailyhunt platform. Meanwhile, Dailyhunt will have access to content library and upcoming titles of Discovery.

In a statement, Simon Robinson, Managing Director, Discovery Asia Pacific and Chief Financial Officer, Discovery International, said, “The partnership with Dailyhunt offers us an exciting opportunity to understand, analyze and explore India’s burgeoning digital play. Initial trends further reinforce our belief that Discovery’s content offers immense unexplored potential for the digital domain in India.”

The broadcaster said that content across verticals such as Outdoor, Food, Wildlife, Science and Military is currently available in English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu and Bengali on Dailyhunt.
