Film entertainment company Eros International Media Ltd has reported a consolidated net profit of Rs 23 crore for the first quarter ended June 30, 2011, up from Rs 14 crore in the same period last year.
Consolidated revenues for the quarter stood at Rs 162 crore (Rs 127 crore). The company released a total of 19 films during the quarter — seven in Hindi including Ready and Chalo Dilli, and 12 in Tamil including Avan Ivan, Engeyum Kadhal and Ko.
