Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) India on Monday launched its hatchback Abarth Punto priced at ₹9.95 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi).
Terming the car as performance-oriented and track-inspired, the company said its 1.4-litre T-Jet Abarth engine produces 145 BHP power, enabling it to touch the 100-kmph mark in just 8.8 seconds.
FCA India also launched its all-new Avventura, powered by Abarth, which has a 1.4-litre four-cylinder T-Jet engine, generating 140 BHP power, sprinting to 100 kmph in 9.9 seconds.
The Avventura is also priced ₹9.95 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi).
“Avventura powered by Abarth will be the fastest crossover in the country. India is a strategic market for us and delivering world-class products and services to our valued customers is an integral part of our commitment to the Indian market,” said Kevin Flynn, President and Managing Director, FCA India, adding that he expected these two ‘defining’ models from the Fiat stable to perk up sales during the festival season.
