Walkaroo from U4ic (Euphoric) International, a VKC group company, is gearing to strengthen its brand image with greater focus on trendy footwear for youth.

The brand is targeting a two-fold increase in its sales turnover to ₹1,000 crore this year against ₹480 crore last year. The five-year-old brand has chosen Bollywood actor Aamir Khan as its new ambassador and commenced a TV campaign “Be Restless”, with an eye on youth aged between 18 and 24.

VKC Noushad, Managing Director, U4ic International, said the range on offer under the Walkaroo brand will now include sports shoes, lifestyle shoes, casual shoes to sandals, loafers and flip-flops for men, women and children.

“The current level of consumer acceptance indicates that Walkaroois well poised to establish itself as a leading footwear brand in the country,” Noushad added.

The company has established four exclusive outlets — three in Kerala and one in Bengaluru. Noushad hinted at adding two more outlets in Tamil Nadu in the next two months. “We are looking to strengthen our network presence, by adding 10-15 company-owned outlets and 20-25 franchisee-showrooms in the next 12 months,” he said.

VKC Group has tied up with 550 distributors and 1.5 lakh retailers across the country.
