Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd (HAL) has entered into a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay to establish R&D Chair to promote applied research.
“HAL has adopted an aggressive unification strategy with academia and this Chair will initiate new academic programmes; identify research areas, provide technical consultancy to HAL and facilitate training programmes for HAL personnel,” said Dr R K Tyagi, Chairman, HAL.
“The Chair will also facilitate holding of annual conferences where new ideas, innovations and technologies could be deliberated,” he added
The MoU was signed by S Thenmozhi, General Manager, HAL, and Prof Ravi Sinha, Dean (Alumni & Corporate Relations) from IIT Bombay. Prof Devang V Khakhar, Director IIT, Bombay was present.
