The country's largest two-wheeler manufacturer Hero MotoCorp on Wednesday said that the company will try and do better sales during the festive season as compared to last year.
"Our inventories are much better now and we stocking up for the festive season. We are very hopeful and bullish riding on some variants of the current models like Splendor," Pawan Munjal, Chairman, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Hero MotoCorp, told reporters here.
However, he said the company will not offer any festive discounts as it is doing for last few years.
Speaking on the sidelines of SIAM annual convention here, he said exports are also expected to do better numbers over the next few months and enter markets such as Nigeria, Mexico and Argentina.
For the domestic market, the company will continue to expand its reach in new areas and invest on new facilities.
"Early next year, we will be opening new innovation and technology centre in Jaipur," Munjal said adding that the company has hired 600 engineers for this facility.
On new launches, apart from variants of existing models, he said the company will launch two completely new scooters in a 'couple' of weeks.
