IL&FS Engineering and Construction Company Ltd has received a letter of intent from Madhyanchal Vidyut Vitran Nigam Ltd (MVVNL) for rural electrification works in Ambedkarnagar district of Uttar Pradesh.
The project is to be executed on a turnkey basis under the Government of India scheme of Rajeev Gandhi Grameen Vidyutikaran Yojana (RGGVY) Phase-II. The Rs 284.04-crore contract is to be executed in 24 months.
According to a company statement, IL&FS Engineering Services is already executing rural electrification works (under packages 12, 13 & 14) for West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company Ltd and for Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd in Orissa.
