Jhajjar KT Transco Ltd has inaugurated its power transmission sub-station at Jhajjar in Haryana.
A special purpose vehicle — Jhajjar KT — is a joint venture between Kalpataru Power Transmission Ltd and Techno Electric and Engineering Company Ltd (51:49).
The company got the contract from Haryana Vidyut Prasaran Nigam Ltd in May 2010 to build a 400 KV intra-state power transmission system.
The 400 KV transmission network comprises double circuit line extending from Jharli to Kabulpur, Rohtak (35 km) and Kabulpur to Dipalpur, Sonepat (64 kmM) with two sub-stations, said a company statement.
The transmission network is designed to facilitate evacuation of 2,400 MW of power and is in operation since March 2012.
