JSW Energy, power utility arm of the JSW Group, a part of O.P. Jindal Group, has appointed Prashant Jain as its Joint Managing Director and CEO with effect from June 16. Jain will be responsible for developing and executing strategic and business planning activities, the company said in the statement. Prior to the appointment, Jain was responsible for developing corporate strategy, forging joint ventures, M&A, overseeing corporate affairs, IT and investor relations for JSW Group. Jain is a mechanical engineer with more than two decades of experience in the areas of plant maintenance, project management, corporate strategy and development, policy advocacy and cross-border operations.
