JSW Steel on Friday reported 34 per cent jump in its crude steel production for October at 7.62 lakh tonnes, compared to 5.70 lakh tonnes in the year—ago period.
Production of long products grew by 78 per cent to 1.65 lakh tonnes during the month, the company said in a statement.
Flat products’ production grew by two per cent to 4.42 lakh tonnes, up from 4.35 lakh tonnes.
Flat products are used for consumer durables and fast moving consumer goods sector, while long products are meant for the construction sector.
