JSW Steel Ltd has said that the capacity utilisation at its Vijayanagar works in Karnataka has been low.
The company said the capacity utilisation remained at around 80 per cent in April 2012 due to inferior quality and inadequate availability of iron ore in e-auction.
JSW Steel Ltd reported its crude steel production for April at 7.15 lakh tonnes, up 35 per cent compared to that of the corresponding month last fiscal and 10 per cent sequentially.
