Madison Media bags Crompton Greaves’ account

Madison Media has bagged the media planning mandate for Crompton Greaves, an account which is estimated to be worth around Rs 50 crore.

In a statement, Madison Media Sigma said it has won Crompton Greaves’ AOR (agency of record).

“The agency will handle its (Crompton Greaves) entire range of products, including fans, lights, lighting fixtures, pumps and electric appliances,” it said.

While the company did not disclose the size of the contract, according to industry sources the three-year mandate is valued at around Rs 50 crore.

Commenting on the development, Madison Media Sigma COO, Ms Vanita Keswani, said the agency will look to create powerful media strategies for the entire portfolio.

An AOR is an agency that coordinates the purchase of media time and space for a big firm that usually has a number of different agencies handling the various divisions and products.

Madison Media, that has a gross billing of Rs 3,000 crore, had recently won Dixcy Textile’s Media AOR.

The group’s other clients include Airtel, Godrej, Cadbury, ITC, General Motors, Marico, McDonald’s TVS, Britannia, Procter & Gamble, Asian Paints and Tata Tea.
