Mahindra Two Wheelers Ltd (MTWL), part of the Mahindra Group, sold a total of 15,463 vehicles in June this year.

The company’s domestic sales stood at 14,389 units during the month, an 83 per cent rise from 7,849 vehicles sold during the same month a year ago. The company exported 1,074 units during the month.

“We are happy about the sustained growth momentum of our flagship brand, the Centuro. We thank our customers for their continued confidence and will strive to further delight them with exciting new offerings in the coming months,” said Viren Popli, Chief of Operations at MTWL.

Mahindra Group’s tractor arm registered an 8 per cent growth in total sales at 29,884 units in June. The company had sold 27,749 units in June 2013, it said in a release here.

The domestic sales grew by 8 per cent to 28,893 units as against 26,723 units, a year ago.

The exports, however, logged a 3 per cent de-growth at 991 units, compared with 1,026 units shipped out in June 2013.

“We are happy to have achieve a domestic growth of 8 per cent during June 2014.

“We are hopeful of the monsoon strengthening in July, which will still make it possible to increase kharif sowing and spur agricultural output,” Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd’s chief executive for farm equipment and two—wheeler division Rajesh Jejurikar said.
