Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd on Friday organised its first mega customer meet at its recently inaugurated Zaheerabad plant and keys of 100 tractors were handed over to farmers by Super Star Mahesh Babu.
This brand association of Mahesh Babu with M&M was a resultant of Mahindra tractor’s focus on the southern markets and its steady progress towards creating a young and vibrant brand image amongst the next generation of farmers.
Rajesh Jejurikar, Chief Executive, Tractor & Farm Mechanisation, Mahindra & Mahindra, in a statement said, “We believe that a tractor is the backbone for any farmer and its delivery, an auspicious moment for him and his family. Having received the delivery keys from superstar Mahesh Babu, will make this moment a truly memorable one for the farmers.”
Mahesh Babu said, “I am humbled to be a part of this occasion and to meet farmers who contribute significantly to our country. Mahindra Tractors drives positive change in the lives of farmers.”
The largest tractor plant in Asia at Zaheerabad was inaugurated in March 2013. The plant has been set-up with an investment of over Rs 300 crore and will have an installed capacity of 1,00,000 tractors per annum. This can be scaled up to meet additional demand.
The plant is spread across 80 acres of land and is built over 60,000 sq.mt, making it the largest tractor plant in India.
