Mahindra & Mahindra has reported a 27 per cent jump in sales at 40,719 units for April 2012.
The company had sold 32,090 units in the same month last year, M&M said in a statement today.
Domestic sales rose 29 per cent to 39,299 units (30,349 units).
Total sales of passenger vehicles, including Scorpio, XUV500, Xylo, Bolero and Verito were 20,558 units last month against 15,459 units in April 2011, up 33 per cent.
The company, however, said sales of its three-wheelers stood at 4,659 units (4,411 units).
Sales of the Gio and Maxximo mini-trucks and other four-wheeler commercial vehicles increased to 13,054 units from 9,538 units, the statement said.
Exports declined to 1,420 units (1,741 units).
